It's difficult to believe that we are nearing that time of year when the kids are out of school, folks are preparing for vacations and enjoying the summer! This is a busy time of year for the farm and we are excited about all the great things unfolding here. Please read below for all the details!
4th Annual CFSA Upstate Farm Tour
Have you ever wanted to tour our farm but just didn't have a large group? This is your opportunity to tour not only our farm but also 19 other local farms!
June 5th and 6th from 1 pm to 6 pm visit any participating farm for the low price of $25 in advance, $30 the day of the tour or $10 if you just want to visit one farm in particular. These prices are for as many folks as you can fit into your car, minivan, church bus, tour bus-well you get the picture!
Your "ticket" into the farms are farm tour buttons which are for sale at Live Oak Farms. Come and get your button, farm tour booklet at Live Oak Farms and chart your course for the weekend. It's sure to be a blast for the entire group!
Fresh Beef
On Friday and Saturday, May 27th and 28th we will have naturally raised local beef available. Come and get your beef stew, London broil, sirloin tip roast, ribeye steaks, New York strips, tenderloin fillets or beef ribs! Just in time for the grill on Memorial Day!!
Live Oak Farms Chicken
Looking for some chicken on the grill for this weekend? Your search ends here-whole birds, boneless skinless breasts, wings, thighs, drumsticks. This will be the best chicken you have ever tasted!
Organic Produce
This week we have beautiful green and red butterhead lettuce along with green and red romaine lettuce. Swiss chard, beets, arugula are also here! We have the last of collards and kale for the season so come enjoy them while you can!
Store Expansion
Many of you have noticed that the store has recently undergone an expansion and thankfully, it is now complete! We will be filling all of the expanded space with wonderful items and will keep you posted. We will be having a grand re-opening in July to celebrate the store's year anniversary as well as the expansion. You will be happy to know that the store will then be open 6 days a week for your convenience! More details will follow in next month's newsletter!
